Why SEO?

SEO stands for search engine optimization. So I will talk about search engine optimization. What does this SEO? SEO means to take necessary actions so that you have a blog search engine friendly and a search on Google / Yahoo / MSN to appear in the Top 5 at least – first results.

TOP 5 Why? For this is the most studied by the user and here is going over 80% of activity.
google-heat-map.jpg

Very important to remember is that Google is in my view 80% of the market. Official statistics course different, but from his own experience 80% of my users come from Google.

With these things in mind I am convinced that you understand the crucial importance is an SEO for blog / your business.
SEO Basics

First you need to know what a keyword. Keywords are words by which you want to be found by visitors who run Google searches. Suppose you have a page on “training of dogs. The key word is obvious: training of dogs. Do not want to be found after a search and training of seals ….

HTML knowledge is crucial. The link you provided a valuable source of where you can learn. I’ll detail further HTML 5 that need to know to understand SEO.

SEO Guide for Blogs </ title> – the tag (
</ title>) indicate the title page. This title appears in Google search and it is crucial to define the theme page. Therefore it is recommended that it be placed in the title keywords. The words of these tags to appear above the browser toolbar.
example-seo-1.jpg

This is the second most important HTML tags and refers to the description page. What is between quotation marks is the description page and this description also appears in search results on Google (right after the title). Take the example of searching Tudor Mateescu. Note that the title appears (Tudor Mateescu) and Blessed are those who describe him as looking for theirs is the kingdom this.

The next tag is the most important tag

</ h1> followed by

</ h2>,

</ h3> etc.. H stands for heading and of course search engines will consider it important is the title page the user sees (see example above the image).

Tag </ b> or </ strong>. Words in bold are included in these tags. It is recommended bolduirea keywords.
Tag </ i> or </ em>. Words included in this tag appear in italic format. Search engines, give them some that are considered important, as is natural for a man who writes about something, to emphasize a different way is important front of the rest.
SEO Steps

Now you know the basic elements you can use on a page you should know that there are two main stages. Optimization on site and off site optimization.
Optimization on site

For blogs, this thing is pretty easy already optimized deoarcere most Fri. But to see what techniques you can apply.

1. Title – the title of that blog post (article) have to be wise choice. This means that you must add the keywords you are interested and not exaggerate with their repetition.
2. Keywords in meta tags – include keywords in title tag and description
3. Contents – ‘contents should include keywords that interests you. They may eventually be included in the tags h / b / and / em depending on document structure.
4. Type of Link – the form that has a link is very important and should also include keywords in it. I recommend a simple, short, accessible, relevant and easy to remember. For this article I will use the following form www.tudormateescu.ro/ghid-seo-blog/. Form link or URL of the post slug defines the blogging platforms WordPress
5. Outbound Links – external sites to which links chicken. It is recommended to put a link to sites in the same field / niche that you identify and eventually to serious old sites. Why? The link is that you give it your user content. Search engines appreciate quality content. Providing links from the same niche as that in which activity help search engines to realize what theme is your site. Who feather flock together.
6. Navigation – a simple navigation help both user and search engine.
7. Domain name – is recommended to contain keywords that optimize
8. Rate update blog / site – users and search engines love fresh content.

WordPress Plugins that will help in the optimization:

Seo Title Tag – help optimize the blog title / posts / tags
Page Navi – by including this plugin you will have an easier navigation like Pages (16): [1] 2 3 4 »… Last ». This will help first search engines go through your blog.
WP Head – This plugin will take the first n characters from an article and you will set the meta description. Including a description which will give categories of system administration will be taken automatically as the meta description.
Tag Warrior – This plugin will help you put tags on each item (so you will increase the number of pages and eventually you will have a diversity of keywords) and including use as a meta tag keywords (tags are not him I presented that’s important is equal to 0).
Off Site Optimization

This is the most important stage. I did a simply stated: Try to get as many relevant links to your blog. It is recommended that the link anchor got to have a keyword that interests you.

What is an anchor? <a href="http://blogultau.ro/> anchor </ a> is the word, which is between tags </ a>. This anchor is recommended to be a keyword for which optimize. If you optimize for schooling dogs is recommended to have links to your page with anchor schooling on schooling dogs dogs.

How do I get these links?
1. Registration in online catalogs and general theme.
2. Exchange links with partners / colleagues / etc.
3. Marketing and viral marketing.
4. Innovative ideas and quality content.
5. Purchase link.
6. Read 101 ways how to get links (a smart link bait)

That said I believe I did something light if you ask what is SEO and what you can help.

Appearance of text in a website is essential for quality. A clear text, written in letters of appropriate size, well organized and placed in the page will make your site accessible and friendly environment that you will encourage its visitor information provided pleasure to fly.

Here are some tips on the appearance of web pages designed to help to create readable text, as easy to come by readers.

    * Do not use too small font sizes or fonts with the sheriff, as Times New Roman. Although it is the type most commonly used for printed publications, texts written in Times New Roman are readable on the screen. Favorite types Arial, Verdana, Helvetica.

    * Do not use only letters (uppercase). Texts written in capital letters are harder to read.

    * Do not make excessive bold (bold, bold). Limit yourself to emphasize words or small portions of the text. Also, do not use italics (roofs, or italics) in excess.

    * Do not use too many types of fonts and font types or rare. Using a large number of font sizes and colors will look like the pages loaded and difficult to read. Using rare types of fonts by itself without the risk that the visitor will not have them installed on your computer so that text will be displayed on the browser default fonts.

    * Do not rearrange the text in two columns page. This is a common practice in newspapers and magazines but is not appropriate in a website visitor as forces that once reached the bottom of the page to one run again to read what the second column.

    * It is better to use each label on the purpose for which it was defined. Do not use title tags to emphasize parts of text that are not securities. Search engines index web pages and depending on the elements (tags) that are included in them and their improper use leads to a wrong indexing your page. Many search engine scans the page to search on their titles and build a sketch of the page. If you use title tags to emphasize parts of the text you provide erroneous information search engine. Thus, lowering the chances of your pages to be identified and read by those interested

Planning is crucial in creating a website, as is the phase in which decisions are taken that will influence the design, implementation and, later, promote the site. World Wide Web as an open and dynamic planning is rather a continuous process that changes have occurred due to the permanent renewal of information and the emergence of new ones.

When you create a Web site should be aware that there are a number of factors over which the creator of the site has no control. The first step in the planning process is to identify these factors and determine how it may affect the future structure of your site.
1. Factors that can not be planned

Factors that website creator ii can not control and therefore not subject to rigorous planning are the following:

User Conduct

This factor implies that you can not control how users access information from your website. The Web is a permeable, meaning that a visitor can enter inside the site not only start page (home page) but a certain page. Site visitors can get to it going through a list of results provided by a search engine, or through a link found on another site, or browsing a list of resources. Either of these methods you can lead the visitor to another page within the site, and not one intended to be your Home page.

Generally, the creator of the site is tempted to structure the site in mind a certain type of access, most often one that leaves the homepage, which leads to the choice of a particular structure, to a certain organization of connections between pages, etc.. You must have constantly in mind that site visitors can have a whole new way to browse the site than you thought and to provide across the entire site navigation elements that help him clear to move.
User Browser

As we have discussed, there are a variety of browsers used to view Web pages. Therefore, site visitors will perceive a different picture of your site, depending on the type of browser used. Site creator can not know what kind of browser a visitor uses and therefore has no control over how content will be displayed on its pages. For example, there are still users who use older versions of Netscape or Explorer, which does not support some HTML extensions. There are also still use text browsers such as Lynx, which does not support graphics. If you place the essential information in graphic files, for example, these users will have access to them.

For this reason it is better to set from the beginning that you want to be the accessibility of your site in this regard. Another is the understanding that HTML is a language that is intended to define document structure and not the mode of display. It is advisable to avoid specifying in detail the appearance of pages and optimizing pages for a specific type of browser.
Links to external pages

In a Web site there are usually links to resources outside the site and they are outside your control. Pages referenced by these links can change their addresses, making it now no longer valid (link outdated). Also there may be broken links in the case when the server is hosted page that has some technical difficulties. Taking into account the inability to control this aspect can be taken several approaches:

    * The site does not contain any external connection or to be outside the direct control of the designer. The safest method. Unfortunately, this strategy can cancel the user to receive information related to the subject your site or located outside.
* Centralization of resources. It is a common practice on the Web, to include all external links in a page especially for them. The benefit of this strategy is that in the case when one of these external links do not work, the visitor can easily return to the page of resources to test the following link. In addition, with few exceptions, visitors will travel at least part of the website before arriving at the page of external links and leave it, possibly forever.
* Exodus free. It is the most flexible approach, allowing the placement of external links anywhere in the page. Its major disadvantage is that the visitor can leave the site early to follow a specific link.

If you do not have control over the site links to outside, is as real as you can not control any of the links that are outside the site. This can be disadvantageous because you can not know which way is now presented to your website. Perhaps the reference to it is ironic or malicious, but this is beyond your control. All you can do is to create a quality site with valuable content, to convince by itself.

Although the items listed above may seem daunting, and yet some of them have advantages. Thus, the permeability of the web can work for the designer, provided that attention to structure the information presented and to provide sufficient evidence of sailing. A page or group of pages within a site can be used as references in other pages or even the building blocks of a site. For example, type a single-page site that is presenting an HTML manual can be used as individual pages in an electronic library site or can be a useful link from within a Web site design, increasing the chances that page that will be accessed by visitors through one of these points.
2. Site planning stages

In the process of creating a site may appear a number of design mistakes, the failure to comply with several techniques and principles outlined above.
Pages with no links ( “dead”)

One of the most frustrating situations that can find a person browsing the web is a page without navigation tools and without any indication of a site to which it belongs. Of course, the site is part of the page can be located by observing first hand the URL of the page that appears in the address bar of your browser. But the power user to perform this maneuver is totally discouraged. Most likely it will not bother to look for Home page of a site but it will also leave for good. Avoid also create pages.

Presence of “dead” in a site show that the designer did not understand permeable nature of the web and the idea that a visitor can enter from any page of its website. The danger of building such a page is especially when websites linear multi-page, where the designer wants to lead visitors along the site on a linear path, default. This does not mean that such sites should not be used, especially if the information presented is suited to this manner of presentation. But attention should be given to the navigation instruments must be designed so the visitor can easily get at least the Home page. In addition, information about the site and the current page should not miss the bottom of each page.

A variation on these pages of “dead” is the Home page that provides information little or no significance. Quite often can be found on the web page Home not give any indication on the structure or content site, not to mention the purpose and objectives. Navigation tools are absent, preferring to use pictures or text with little meaning to achieve access to different sections of the site. Maybe it is an avant-garde approach, but for most visitors is unpleasant to get into such a page so that it is better to respect the traditional rules of design presented.
Pages “huge”

If the pages of “dead end” offer little evidence visitor there and their side: pages “huge”. These pages are loaded to the brim with information, lists, images, links and other items. The pages of this kind raise two main issues:

    * Access time. Especially if the page contains numerous images, the page load time can be very high
* Information overload. If you put too much information in one page the visitor will not be able to process one.

There are opinions that say that the length of a page should not exceed one screen to avoid the user to scroll vertically. Such a requirement is too drastic and can often be to the disadvantage of presenting explicit information. Fragmentation of the subject must be done according to the internal logic and not by arbitrary rules as browser window size.

There are times when long pages best meet objectives. For example, in the pages of presentation of products on a commercial site, placing the product description on two or more pages break fluidity presentation and can result in loss of customers. Similarly, if the page contains a long list of related items, breaking the list is arbitrary and unequal. On the other hand, congestion information at a single page, especially when between the sections of the page there is an intrinsic link that page to appear as an amalgam from which the visitor will hardly extract information of interest.

If you need to use very long pages remember to offer the course page anchors that will lead the visitor to start the main section, and at the top, respectively bottom of the page. If the page contains more text and not an additional load images or multimedia elements as access time will increase greatly.
Excess multimedia elements

Indiscriminately use of multimedia elements (images, sound, video) as well as excessive use of the latest Web technologies is often damaging to the site. If you address an audience which assume that it does not have fast connections, the latest versions of browsers or applications needed to execute and display correct some of the elements of the site’s pages, it is better not to include these elements.

Thus, although applications created with Macromedia Flash are spectacular and can do special effects particularly attractive, such a file can easily reach the dimensions that exceed 1 megabyte, which significantly slows the page loading speed. In addition, to view them correctly, the visitor must download the Shockwave plug-in if not in already installed on your computer. It is very unpleasant for visitors to perform all these operations only to find that the information presented in this form could be as well presented as ordinary text or images.

A compromise solution is that, simultaneously with the inclusion of such a file, to provide the visitor an option of “circumvention” of the “skip intro” when presentations are used only part of the splash screen, as screen open site, for example.

In addition, they use flash presentations without a specific aim to serve not they simply distract the visitor from the subject site.

Another quite common mistake is to include audio files, without it be related to goal. There are designers who believe the provision of background music enhances the attractiveness of the site. The reality is exactly the opposite. Besides the situation when the subject site is related to music or sound files you come to supplement the information presented in the pages, background music does nothing more than slow loading pages and the visitor irritate him by recurrence. If you need to include sound files, let the visitor can choose to open them via a link, especially if they are large files.

It is recommended to do the same if the video file, it warns the visitor that the page that opens more difficult.
Pages unequal

Unequal pages contain information as important or very different levels of detail. Most often faced with this problem are contained in pages Home links to new pages created in the development of the site. It’s easy to fall into the mistake of including the new Home page links no longer respect the hierarchy established in the stage of organization of the site.

If the site on which work requires the creation of new pages must keep in mind placing them at specific levels on their objectives and framing the place due to the structure of links presented on the site Home page.
Links meaningless

This link without significance is also a very common design mistake. You’ve probably seen numerous times on web pages Expressions like this:

For more information click here </ A>

The word “here” in this context has no meaning. A more appropriate wording would be as follows:

You can get more information here </ A>

Another situation is where the document has now indicated, in terms of content, the page that contains references to it. All links within a page must extend information content of the page, the visitor who follows a link expecting it to provide additional information about the topic.

In the same category can be created and the links “trivial”, which enrich the information presented nothing. For example a building like this:

Welcome Page </ A> Home University

where def.html document contains the dictionary definition of the word “Page”, is now a “trivial” because the information provided in this context does not serve any purpose. On the other hand, a page whose subject is the vocabulary web, such a definition would be very important.

Another relationship meaningless fragmentation occurs when information is taken to extreme by using a large number of links. The subject is cut into very small parts and the visitor is forced to enumerate a large number of pages in depth to piece together information and to understand their meaning. One approach to this matter and increases the fluidity breaking effort to understand and assimilate the visitor.
Pages disorganized and strident

This page suffers from a lack of organization of content. Even if the subject is divided into sections, units of information are scattered in the page without prior systematization to focus visitors’ attention to important points. These pages have too many colors, often striking, different types of fonts, or background images very full. Animation is often used in excess without its having any meaning or the content of the page and background music. The general appearance of such pages is as loud and flashy as a decoration Bernard.

1. Create a Flash intro page as developed and that require a load for as long, without supplying Skip Intro option.

2. Build entire site in Flash without providing a link to install the plugin Flash Player. In fact, you can even provide the link because, for the visitor if it is not already installed, just simply annoying to have to install something to see the site.

3. Create a navigation system as “smart” so that the visitor will be compelled to guess what lies beneath each button. And better, hide buttons in places where the visitor does not think to look. Remember to leave at least a few pages “orphan”, from which he can no longer reach the Home page.

4. Use frames so that the visitor was not put in the Favorites pages of interest.

5. If I have built the site in Flash, put him and a music sound and offer the option not stop music.

6. Use pop-up windows that open automatically on entry on each page. After all, if the visitor does not bother to install a program that blocks pop-ups’s fault!

7. Create pages specific to a particular browser and a specific resolution. Ad “Optimized for Internet Explorer 6 in 1024×768 is a great way of irritating the visitor.

8. Use dark backgrounds or background images and fonts loaded as illegible. A black background with red text gives excellent results.

9. Use capitalization and extensive bolduit text. The label Internet (netiquete) texts written exclusively in capital letters is equivalent to cry. Why should not everyone hear what you have to say?

10.If you’ve designed the site entirely in Flash, do not hesitate to use as much animation pages. Just want to have a dynamic site, huh?

11.It will update the site. After all you have struggled so much to build it is a small work of art, there’s nothing to be improved or changed it.

Of course, we joked. Obviously, these are some anti-tips. However, sites that fall into one or more of these mistakes are very numerous. And, surprisingly, is not always about sites neprofesionisiti made.

Beginners to optimize the web, in their zeal to improve the position for which optimizes site, committed some mistakes with direct effect on the site. In the following we will present a list of the most common errors such search engine optimization.

Ignoring tags Title
It is one of the most common errors committed, with direct negative effect in terms of positioning your site d within search engines. Most search engines consider title tag as important as the information entered here is displayed. Therefore not leave it open and not use irrelevant words like ‘home page’ or ‘welcome to our site’. Try to type the title in the keywords that you consider as having the highest relevance to your site sir.

Keywords irrelevant
A certain category of webmasters using irrelevant keywords that are designed to increase traffic to your site sir. If you are considering developing a business online, the keywords you use should have as great a relevance in the areas where activated. For example, it is useless to use keywords such as ‘music’ if d your financial activities in the field. Users will come to your site looking d ‘music’ will move on and those who seek financial information will not benefit from information and services they offer.

Spamming
This is an unethical practice, which repeatedly use the same keywords in the title tag, the meta tag and content. This method is used to improve the position of a site artificially. Fortunately, search engines detect these techniques and lower ranking of their websites themselves and can even reach them banned from the search engines. Consequently, no abuse of keywords.

Text and links invisible
This is a method which tries tricking search engines. Web pages are full of links and keywords that are hidden but visible to search engine users. The problem is that they are now able to detect such a technique and its use leads without exception to exclude your Mr Site.

Links to and from useless sites
It is known that the highest possible number of links to your site d increases its importance in the eyes of search engines. However, not every link to your site d help. For example, sites with PR (Page Rank) cut will not significantly help your listing page d and links from and to the functional or banned sites can only be harmful. Always try to get links from sites listed as well.

Errors in the HTML code
If your site presents d errors in HTML code will be poorly ranked by search engines even if the content is optimized. Loading speed will be small and appear incompatibilities with some web browsers. The best way to avoid such situations is the validation code before you join html website directory and search engines.

Using canonical URLs
In the optimization process make sure the URLs of every page that is going to be indexed is a canon. This will positively affect the visibility of your site d within search engines.

Excessive graphics within the page
The way the search engines read your site d like himself with that text browsers. A large amount of graphics does not help in a proper positioning of the site. It will negatively influence the download speed of the site and will remove visitors. Try to use a content rich in keywords instead of the excessive number of images. Also, the images used, use another text in their description.
